New Classic God Bastet
Passive Nightstalker
Hitting enemies grants lifesteal. Enemy gods hit grant strength and are revealed to you for a duration.
Ability 1: Pounce
Leap to a target location dealing physical damage to enemies in the area. For a short duration, reactivate to leap back to your initial location. You gain increased movement speed while you can return.
Ability 2: Razor Whip
Swipe at enemies in a cone, causing them to bleed for physical damage over time.
Ability 3: Ensnaring Claw
Send a cat forward. If it hits an enemy, it roots them and nearby enemies briefly and deals physical damage. The cat persists for a duration or until defeated, attacking nearby enemies for physical damage and applying a slow.
Ultimate Ability: Cat Call
Summon 3 spirit cats that follow you and attack nearby enemies for a duration. While they are active, you gain strength.
Cats cannot block movement and cannot attack structures.
Cats dash attack enemies, dealing physical damage and slowing them.
When you cast Razor Whip, each cat resets its dash cooldown and dashes to the first enemy hit.
When you cast Pounce, cats follow you through the leap.
Aspect of the Watchful Pride Releasing 19th June
Pounce can no longer be activated again to return you to your starting location. Hitting an enemy god with it grants Protections to nearby allies. Razor Whip deals less damage but Disarms bleeding enemies. Ensnaring Claw Stuns instead of Rooting. Cat Call becomes Huntress of Bast.
Ultimate Ability (Aspect): Huntress of Bast
Become CC immune and fire a spirit cat projectile forward, dealing physical damage, stunning the first enemy god hit and summoning a Huntress of Bast behind them, which carries them to the location you were standing when it was summoned.
Once it reaches that location, quicksand forms underneath them creating a vortex effect and dealing damage over time.

Physical Components:
Strength giving component items are being tuned down this patch. The goal here is to reduce early game in-hand power a bit, while keeping lategame power at about the same level. Across the board, Smite 2’s gods have higher basic attack power, and strength items were also giving quite a bit more power per cost towards inhands.

Blinking Abyss
Blinking Abyss is an item we are still going to keep a close watch on. While we feel that most players enjoy being able to reposition in combat, the cost and stats the item provides were not really a tradeoff at all, and its ability to be used to escape by backliners was happening a bit too often. The cooldown change here increases the cooldown when the damage component doesn’t hit, but the cooldown remains the same when Blinking Abyss is used aggressively. Notably, we are not increasing the cooldown of the Blink Relic with this change either.

Heartwood Charm:
Passive and Active have been Redesigned, now:
20% reduced cooldown for healing abilities.
When you heal with abilities, 20% of that healing is copied into the Charm, up to 350 healing.
On use: Heal all allies around you equal to the amount stored in the Charm.
Plating and Dampening:
We’re revisiting Plating and Dampening as stats in this patch. Initially, we wanted to give Plating and Dampening items fairly high amounts of their own mitigation on each item picked up, allowing you to flex to counter certain types of attacks by buying them. However, because of how these played with protections and mitigation already, that meant we couldn’t put much protections on items that had them, if at all. And that made these items less attractive to pick up in a build.
Instead, we’re moving to reducing Plating and Dampening on individual items, but combining them with protections. Meaning you’ll get less of these stats from each item you buy, but you’ll get more universal defenses with them, allowing you to build up your Plating and Dampening stats through a game. Along with that, because there are less Plating and Dampening items in general, we’re adding the stats to older items that previously didn’t have them as well.

Selected Bug Fixes
Audio
Loki Stealth - In OB36, the attenuation radius was stealthily increased for Loki’s stealth and reveal sounds to more closely resemble SMITE 1. Player feedback revealed that the reveal attenuation did not need to be as large as the stealth attenuation, so the reveal attenuation has been reduced. Loki apologized for unnecessarily scaring players, but his hand was behind his back and may have had his fingers crossed.
Music volume has been increased at the request of Apollo.
Hit sounds now duck the volume of other sounds to increase impact. I tried to write a joke for this, but Chronos said something about time being a flat circle and told me to get back to work.
Quest
Knockup Daily Quest will now properly track for all gods with knock up abilities.

Loki Stealth - In OB36, the attenuation radius was stealthily increased for Loki’s stealth and reveal sounds to more closely resemble SMITE 1. Player feedback revealed that the reveal attenuation did not need to be as large as the stealth attenuation, so the reveal attenuation has been reduced. Loki apologized for unnecessarily scaring players, but his hand was behind his back and may have had his fingers crossed.
